5 Months

I know I say it every month, but seriously, where is the time going? I love this stage that she is at now because she is developing such a big personality. She smiles and laughs all the time and those smiles melt my heart aand make my day. Here are some things she can do at 5 months.

-She reaches out and grabs everything and either puts it in her mouth or drops it on the ground.
-She is getting good at sitting up by herself as long as she is supporting herself with her hands. When she lifts them up, she tips over!
-She is getting really good at eating off a spoon. We have moved on to oatmeal and she loves it! Feeding her is getting more difficult though, because she grabs the spoon and "helps" and gets mad if we feed her too slow. She is getting so independent already.
-She is thisclose to crawling. Any day now and she will be off.
-She is drooling like crazy and I keep feeling for a tooth but nothing yet.
-She hates getting strapped into her carseat and her swing. As soon as we put her in there she pushes her hips forward and makes her body completely straight at stiff. She LOVES being in her jumparoo and bounces around like crazy in there.

We are having some sleep issues lately but that is a whole other post. I think that is all the updates for now. I can't wait to see how much she has grown at her appointment next month.

One Year Ago Today...

I peed on a stick and our lives will never be the same! At her four month checkup, Kylie weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and measured 26 1/4 inches in length. She is completely off the charts for length! She got her shots and then she got her ears pierced and she seems to be very happy and healthy. I can finally say she is sleeping through the WHOLE night most nights from around 8:30 to 7ish and almost always fusses for a few minutes and then goes back to sleep until around 9 or even later. The other day I woke up around 10 and she slept till 10:45 but I think she may have been extra drowsy from her shots the day before. The doctor said we can go ahead and start trying food little by little and she does seem a little bit interested. She stares at our food when we eat and we have tried giving her cereal a few times and she opens her mouth to the spoon but we have not been pushing it on her too much. I think that is all the updates for now!
