Kylie had an awesome first Halloween! She was the cutest little ladybug ever!! On Wednesday we went to a Halloween party at the library with her playgroup. Saturday grandma took her to the Halloween party at the shopping plaza. And Halloween night she dressed up and helped me pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Everyone loved her! Then we got to celebrate Halloween again a few days later because I forgot to let her wear her pink glow in the dark skeleton pajamas!

Seven months
Seven months and Kylie is just getting to be so much fun lately. She is happy almost all the time, smiling and laughing and studying everything we do. She sleeps awesome most nights, is crawling like a mad woman, can sit up from her belly, and pulls to a stand on anything she can get her hands on. She does not sit still for a second, not even for a diaper change. I lay her down and immediately she flips over and tries to crawl away or stand up. I have had to learn how to put a diaper on upside down because sometimes that is the only way i can get it on. She is eating three meals of solids a day; cereal for breakfast and fruit and veggies for lunch and dinner with 3 bottles in between. She loves to eat and there hasn't really been much of anything that she doesn't like. She eats puffs and is getting the hang of feeding herself. She has her first tooth poking through on the bottom and the one next to it is right behind. She is just getting so big!

6 Months
Half a year has gone by already and our baby girl continues to amaze us every day. She is just so happy most of the time, smiling, giggling, laughing, and learning something new every day it seems. At her 6 month appointment, Kylie weighed in at 17 pounds 5 ounces and was 27 inches long. We had given her a slow start on solids already, but the doctor gave us the go ahead to start getting her on a breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedule with bottles in between and so far she has been doing great with it. She really loves trying new foods. She drinks water from a sippy cup with her meals and is finally getting the hang of it. She also gets a few puffs, which she LOVES, and grabs them and tries to get them in her mouth. She is sleeping like a champ, most nights sleeping a good 12 hours, though we still have a few bad days in a row now and then. She got her shots, and they left a HUGE bruise on her leg! At 6 months Kylie is able to sit completely independently, pull herself up to a knee stand, and most impressively she is crawling! She is all over the place now, but so much fun to play with and watch.

Uggh, my formatting is all screwed up and I cann't figure out how to fix it right now!

Kylie's Playdates
Every Wednesday for the past couple of weeks, Kylie and I have been going to a Mommy and Me class at the library and our group of playmates has slowly been gowing. It is great to get out with some friends of mine and fun for Kylie to start interacting with their kids who are around the same age.

Testing my new app
Ok ever since I went back to work I have become a terrible blogger. There are so many things I want to post about but then when I get home I am either too tired or too busy to ever get around to it. Since I get a lot of breaks at work, but don't have a desk or computer access I have been trying to blog very unsuccessfully through my iPhone. First I tried using safari and that only allowed me to post text. Then I purchased an app which made a lot of promises about being able to post pictures and it failed miserably. So here I am again with another app that looks promising in being able to keep my blog alive. If this works I will hopefully be able to update my blog with photos and video from my iPhone whenever I feel like it.
Here are some recent pictures of Kylie. Let's hope this works!

Blah looks like I can only post one picture per post! Grrrrr

Or maybe not. Woohoo! Now I have no excuses for being a bad blogger!!

5 Months
I know I say it every month, but seriously, where is the time going? I love this stage that she is at now because she is developing such a big personality. She smiles and laughs all the time and those smiles melt my heart aand make my day. Here are some things she can do at 5 months.
-She reaches out and grabs everything and either puts it in her mouth or drops it on the ground.
-She is getting good at sitting up by herself as long as she is supporting herself with her hands. When she lifts them up, she tips over!
-She is getting really good at eating off a spoon. We have moved on to oatmeal and she loves it! Feeding her is getting more difficult though, because she grabs the spoon and "helps" and gets mad if we feed her too slow. She is getting so independent already.
-She is thisclose to crawling. Any day now and she will be off.
-She is drooling like crazy and I keep feeling for a tooth but nothing yet.
-She hates getting strapped into her carseat and her swing. As soon as we put her in there she pushes her hips forward and makes her body completely straight at stiff. She LOVES being in her jumparoo and bounces around like crazy in there.
We are having some sleep issues lately but that is a whole other post. I think that is all the updates for now. I can't wait to see how much she has grown at her appointment next month.

One Year Ago Today...
I peed on a stick and our lives will never be the same! At her four month checkup, Kylie weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and measured 26 1/4 inches in length. She is completely off the charts for length! She got her shots and then she got her ears pierced and she seems to be very happy and healthy. I can finally say she is sleeping through the WHOLE night most nights from around 8:30 to 7ish and almost always fusses for a few minutes and then goes back to sleep until around 9 or even later. The other day I woke up around 10 and she slept till 10:45 but I think she may have been extra drowsy from her shots the day before. The doctor said we can go ahead and start trying food little by little and she does seem a little bit interested. She stares at our food when we eat and we have tried giving her cereal a few times and she opens her mouth to the spoon but we have not been pushing it on her too much. I think that is all the updates for now!
